The Challenge

Oh Yes! Net Zero is a collaborative movement of Hull and Humber-based organisations committed to taking action to achieve their net zero ambitions.

A year after it was established, Oh Yes! Net Zero’s founding partners – Reckitt, the University of Hull, Hull City Council and Future Humber – were keen to scale up its impact by creating a buzz among its 140+ members and providing support to help them take their next steps towards net zero.

The Response

We developed a creative proposition that aimed to remind members why they signed up to the campaign, make them feel supported on their journey, reinforce the simple actions they can take and highlight the benefits of collaboration.

The proposition– ‘REAL support for local organisations to achieve net zero’ – was brought to life by evolving the Oh Yes! Net Zero brand identity to include stronger colours, a more confident tone of voice and content themed around key areas of focus.

The Results

With design, film and animation, social media and PR support from Pace, the campaign kicked off its second year with two successful, high-profile events in Westminster and Hull.

Momentum has since continued through the creation of content that highlights the progress members are making towards their net zero goals and offers practical advice others can follow.

Early results on social media included a 22% average engagement rate and month-on-month growth in followers of 15%. With strong foundations laid, plans to boost engagement further and drive more carbon reduction activities among members in the year ahead are well underway.
