Challenge.
Trex is a premium composite decking brand installed in luxury properties across the UK. We wanted to highlight the product benefits and lifestyles associated with Trex homeowners through compelling, cinematic case study videos, showcasing Trex’s role in enabling luxury outdoor living.
Response.
We worked with property developer Glass Harbour Group to identify a home that would provide the perfect environment to put the product to the test and showcase Trex’s performance. And we found it: situated on the stunning Dorset coast. This project highlighted how the product stands up to high winds, salty sea air and water and high footfall.
Pace’s production team jumped into action, storyboarding the concept, collaborating with the TrexPro installer who completed the work, lining up our preferred stylist and photographer, and firing up our drone.
Our in-house film crew delivered a three-day shoot at the property, art directing and capturing outdoor BBQ scenes, owner and deck installer testimonials, surfing content, night-time drone shots and more.
Results.
Two ‘hero’ videos have been created as part of the ‘Trex Presents’ series. One focused on the owner and one focused on the TrexPro decking installer to provide the full story behind the project. Both 4K videos received incredibly positive feedback from the client and were approved straight away without any changes needed.
Shared across Trex’s social media channels - including YouTube and YouTube Shorts - we utilised paid social and collaboration posts with the developer on Instagram to enhance reach. The reception has been very positive and the videos are the most liked and received the highest views in the shortest amount of time on Trex’s YouTube channel.
Supporting this, photography for a variety of marketing assets was captured, making the most of our time on location at the property.
