Love Island 2023 - Trends and brand deals we want to see

July 31, 2023

Love Island 2023 finale is here and we’re all itching to find out who will be making mad moves for big brand collaborations once they’re out of the villa.

Controversially, we’ve recently seen a ban on family members running the social media accounts of Islanders, meaning lack of content for followers to engage with and potential followers to sign up to. However, Love Island still provides a fantastic opportunity for brand deals on social media.

We’ve put together our own trends and brand deal predictions for the most popular Islanders…

Molly Marsh

We’re sure Molly’s DMs will be inundated with offers post Love Island. Her bubbly, bold personality and background in performing arts makes her the ideal candidate for brands that want to stand out.

Plus, Molly is no stranger to social media. Prior to entering the villa she had a strong 26K Instagram followers and 650K followers on TikTok. She still remains the most followed Islander of the summer 2023 season (bar Kady - that’s cheating 😏).

As a brand it’s a no-brainer hiring Molly - unlike the other Islanders, she already knows how to work the influencer world (we’ve all seen that one FemFresh ad) and has a strong portfolio of successful brand collaborations with several huge names like Gymshark, Next, GHD and even ads for BGT - something we saw when Molly Mae entered the villa.

Known for styling bright colours, her beautifully waved hair and raising eyebrows with *very small* bikini tops, here’s some of the products we’ve seen her using and you’ve been talking about.

The OG-turned-bombshell’s personality and style perfectly complements the fun and quirky  Skinnydip London, a brand she is already familiar with. Following her final ‘Barbie’ date and love of pink we can see her repping the Skinnydip X Barbie collection.

Tyrique Hyde

We think it’s fair to say that 24-year-old semi professional footballer, Tyrique, has been the main male character of the season.

Viewers are obsessed with his nostalgic, R&B style. The search term ‘Tyrique’s jeans’ on TikTok has seen over 4.1billion views! Think white vest, baggy jeans and a cool pair of trainers - that’s him. With this in mind, we think it would be a big mistake not to bag him for a fashion deal.

Here’s what we found you searching for:

We’d put him in a couple with ASOS, specifically ASOS DESIGN, so he could add his sense of ‘sauce’ to the basics. Along with a snazzy selection of trainers to pair his looks with.

Whitney Adebayo

Firecracker Whitney has become a Love Island legend and gained a wave of supporters who believe she is set to win the series tonight.

‘It’s giving baddie’.

Whitney has been nothing short of iconic and her bold, confident personality is resembled in her sense of style. We’ve loved seeing her sporting the likes of House of CB, Dolls Kill and PLT through the villa’s Ebay sponsorship.

Her shiny legs also went viral on TikTok with Boots fast to respond, stating she’s been using equally viral Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Boots needs to jump on this post-villa as we expect some GRWM features: Reel / TikTok style. Or will it stick to product placement in her vlogs? Either way someone NEEDS to act on this.

Whitney has the ability to pull off ‘out there’ fashion looks as seen with the PLT mesh playsuit. We think she’d totally couple up with Poster Girl, known for pushing the confines of femininity with every outfit.

Zachariah Noble

We’re not expecting Zachariah to receive as many offers as his other half, Molly, but we still think he holds influence.

The basketballer and personal trainer has an Instagram page paying homage to his pre-villa body transformation, so we expect to see some gym wear brands in his DMs. Maybe a couples Gym Shark partnership? We can already see the YouTube videos.

Aside from all things sporty, Zach also has a flair for accessorising and is rarely seen without a piece of jewellery paired with a funky shirt to stamp his signature look.

We’ve identified Craftd Ldn as an ideal collab for him to drive a new wave of customers. The brand has virtually identical pieces to Zach’s current collection, making it a truly authentic deal.

So, what do you think? Will these Islanders’ heads turn for any of these brands? Who’ll be shaking things up with the biggest brand deals?
